Malaysia is a country where diverse ethnic groups coexist and thrive. What makes our country unique is not only the traditional cuisine of different races but also the festive spirit of each race during their respective holidays, Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai added.
“The most admirable aspect of Malaysia is that during festivals such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, and others, people of different ethnicities open their doors and invite friends of all races to join them in celebration. This showcases the unity and inclusiveness of our society.”
He said, the Chinese New Year open house organized by our Chinese group is a prime example of inter-ethnic exchange and should be encouraged. It promotes unity and understanding among different races.
“KLCAH is now celebrating its 20th year since its establishment. Last year, we held a grand 19th anniversary dinner. Throughout the years, KLCAH has had to change its offices multiple times due to various factors. Therefore, we have decided to find a permanent home for us.”
